Raltetrexed is a quinazoline folate analogue, whose anti-tumor effect is generated by the specific inhibition of thymidine synthase. In the treatment of colorectal cancer, its efficacy is similar to that of fluorouracil, but its toxicity and side effects are smaller than that of fluorouracil, and its administration method is relatively simple.
